The Scientist - Three The Hard Way (2010)

The cult dub album "Three The Hard Way," featuring renderings of Al Campbell's songs and production, has been officially reissued for the first time since its original 1981 release on the Silver Camel label. Mixed at King Tubby's, this release has long been highly sought after by dub enthusiasts. Sound engineers Scientist, Barnabas, and Maxie contributed to the album, creating "rudest" and "spaced-out" versions of tracks by Campbell, an early dancehall figure. The album includes standout tracks such as Maxie’s "Blood Light" with elements of The Stylistics, Scientist’s "Feed Back Dubstyle," Barnabas’ "Prophecy In Dub," Maxie's "Ganja Syrup," Barnabas' "Murder," Scientist's "Winner," and "Bionic Skank."
