A founding member of one of the Upper Peninsula's first punk bands, the Regulars, Michigan-based singer/songwriter and guitarist Jeremy Porter has been playing and touring since the early 1990s, carving out a name for himself in hard-hitting regional bands like the Offramps, SlugBug, and Fidrych. Employing a heady blend of rootsy Americana, country-rock, punk, and power pop, Porter officially embarked on a solo career in 2010 with the Magwheel Records-issued Part of One. Missing the roar of a full band behind him, he enlisted the help of Offramps and Fidrych bassist Jason Bowes and Hotwells drummer Gabriel Doman, and released his second solo outing, 2013's Partner in Crime, under the moniker Jeremy Porter & the Tucos. ~ James Christopher Monger
