Rum Ragged - Rum Ragged (2016)

The self-titled debut studio album by the band Rum Ragged, released in 2016. At the time, the group consisted of the founding duo: singer/guitarist Mark Manning and singer/accordionist Aaron Collis. The album features traditional folk music from Newfoundland and Labrador, blending reverence for their local roots with a contemporary approach to arrangements. Instrumentation includes bouzouki, fiddle, bodhran, banjo, guitar, and button accordion. The album achieved critical and industry recognition, including a win for "Folk Roots Recording of the Year" at the 2016 MusicNL Awards and a nomination for the 2017 East Coast Music Award for "Roots/Traditional Album of the Year."
