After years in Shapeshifter, Devin Abrams goes solo with an LP of rich electronica. An introspective headphone listen, The Stillness is his second release under the Pacific Heights moniker and delicately blends husky vocals with the nervous energy of drum and bass. The album’s featured artists are fellow musicians from Abram’s native New Zealand, which lends a sense of peacefulness to the music’s gloomy, but beautiful, undertones.
