Old Man Luedecke - She Told Me Where to Go (Deluxe Edition) (2025) [Hi-Res]

Two-time JUNO Award winner Old Man Luedecke (Chris Luedecke) is releasing his new album, "She Told Me Where to Go," in 2024. The material for the album was written while Luedecke was working in the North Atlantic on a scallop boat, a job he took after the live music world slowed down. The album reflects on mid-life and grapples with the value of an artist in an age of 15-second music consumption. Produced over two years by Afie Jurvanen (Bahamas), the album finds Luedecke moving away from his signature banjo—the instrument associated with his old-time Appalachian sound. Jurvanen suggested abandoning the banjo to focus listeners' attention on Luedecke's songwriting. Letting go of the instrument that defined him, though difficult, brought new life to his songs and the resulting album. The single "She Told Me Where to Go" will be prominently featured in the game "Pacific Drive," set for release this spring on PlayStation PS5. The album includes 12 tracks, featuring collaborations with Reeny Smith and Bahamas.
