The album "Jim Reeves (Expanded Edition)" is a significantly expanded digital reissue of Jim Reeves' third long-player (and second for RCA), originally known as "Bimbo" (1957). The original album comprised 12 songs recorded by Jim Reeves during his tenure with Abbott Records (1952–1955), the masters of which were subsequently acquired by RCA when the artist signed with them. This new expanded edition serves as a comprehensive retrospective of this early, highly successful period, including all solo chart singles (such as "Mexican Joe" and "Bimbo"), as well as rare alternate takes. Unlike later RCA compilations where these recordings might have been presented in artificial "electronic stereo," this release has been meticulously remastered in the original mono configuration, ensuring an authentic sound experience. This digital edition, facilitated by SuperVisible Multi Media, is part of a major project to systematically curate and digitize the complete legacy of "Gentleman Jim."
