Ruby Colley, Exaudi Vocal Ensemble - Hello Halo (2025) [Hi-Res]

The composition "Hello Halo" was created by composer Colley in close collaboration with his neurodivergent brother, Paul. Although Paul is non-verbal, he communicates through a unique set of sounds and gestures. These communicative elements were transcribed and integrated into the piece, creating a distinctive "vocal map" of the brothers' relationship. The album is positioned as a deeply personal and authentic artistic statement that explores the nature of human communication beyond words. The work challenges the primacy of language in defining humanity, demonstrating the richness of Paul's personhood and the unique bond between the brothers through music and sound.
