Margitte is the music project of Ghent artist Margot De Ridder, distinguished by its characteristic, ethereal, and sharp sound, shaped by influences such as jazz, twee-pop, and indie rock. Margot De Ridder is an experienced songwriter with a rich musical background, including participation in the bands Les Bandits and Whisper Party, where she continues to write, sing, and play keys. Previously, she was the lead singer of MMZL and released the single "Brainworm," after which she took a step back, focusing on freelance projects. Inspired by nature, Margot is ready to share her search for balance with listeners, working with musicians close to her heart. Margitte's music addresses both ordinary and profound existential issues with a zest for life and self-relativation.
