Jean-Charles Acquaviva's album of original jazz compositions, "Dopamine," explores the connection between the dopamine molecule—known as the "happiness hormone" and linked to the need for movement—and music. Acquaviva uses his musical language of notes, rhythm, and timbre to convey the functioning and effects of this invisible energy, creating a melodic, vibrant, and joyfully contemplative jazz style. The album, featuring a highly responsive rhythm section including Bertrand Beruard (double bass), Elie Martin-Charrière (drums), and Cédric Baud (guitar), is intended as an inner journey toward the life force.
