The Maple Trail, the project of Australian multi-instrumentalist Aidan Roberts, returns with the final album Sundial after a significant hiatus dedicated to other artistic endeavors. While Roberts' early work was characterized by acoustic folk and ambient pop, this new release represents the culmination of his twenty-year journey, blending dream pop and folktronica. Inspired by 1980s sci-fi aesthetics and nostalgia, the title track utilizes vintage synthesizers and samples to explore themes of redemption and renewal.
