Renowned drummer Stephane Galland introduces his new project, Kanda, an experimental trio featuring flutist Lucia Pires and bassist Louise van den Heuvel. The group's name is multifaceted, referencing both Indian rhythmic cycles and spiritual yoga practices.

The collective's musical concept is flexible, ranging from acoustic jazz to electronic sonorities utilizing samples and the EWI. The musicians actively experiment with instrumental roles, wherein the electronic wind instrument may assume the bass function while the bass guitar carries the melody. The primary focus is placed on combining rhythmic complexity with atmospheric textures.
