Laura Camacho Tango Project - Todo Tiempo Pasado (2025) [Hi-Res]

Argentine double bassist, composer, and ethnomusicologist Laura Camacho is set to release the album Todo Tiempo Pasado on November 28, 2025. The record reimagines the tango genre by fusing it with elements of folk, classical, jazz, and pop music under the Laura Camacho Tango Project. The recording features Latin GRAMMY nominees Emiliano Messiez and Ariel Pirotti. The album's repertoire combines the artist's original compositions with works by genre classics such as Astor Piazzolla and Mariano Mores, and includes unconventional arrangements of pop hits by Britney Spears and Kate Bush. Camacho, who began her artistic journey in Buenos Aires, is currently pursuing a doctorate at the University of Texas at Austin. She successfully integrates performance with academic research on the evolution of tango communities, serving as a bridge between tradition and contemporary art.
