Blanca Altable, Chuchiguitarra - Universo (2025)

The musical duo Blanca Altable and Chuchi Alcuadrado has announced the upcoming release of their third album, titled 'Universo', scheduled for November. To finance the recording, the musicians have launched a crowdfunding campaign on the Verkami platform. Active for 16 years, the group is known for reinterpreting traditional roots music and Castilian folklore. As a preview, the duo presented the instrumental single and music video 'Mantra', inspired by Breton motifs and the aesthetics of wild nature.

The production of the album coincides with significant life changes for violinist Blanca Altable, who has relocated to Ireland seeking stability for her growing family. Despite criticizing the economic precarity of the modern music industry, the duo continues their artistic endeavors, remaining dedicated to a style grounded in freedom of expression and a love for universal folk music.
