Karen Marshalsay - Eadarainn a’ Chruit: Between Us the Harp (2025)

Karen Marshalsay's second album, "Eadarainn a’ chruit," explores the sonorities of three historical varieties of the Scottish harp, including instruments from the Baroque era and Gaelic tradition. In addition to the harp, the recording features the whistle, smallpipes, flute, and fiddle. Renowned musicians and long-time collaborators, such as Alison Kinnaird and Allan MacDonald, contributed to the project. The work highlights the profound cultural and musical connections between Scotland and Ireland, uniting diverse rhythms and melodies around the sound of the harp.
