Odyssey is the fifth soundtrack composed by Matt Johnson for the film of the same name, which was directed by his brother, Gerard Johnson. The film is described as a stylish, blackly comic metaphysical thriller set against the backdrop of London's housing crisis, addiction, and survival. The soundtrack features 19 brand-new tracks, all written, produced, and performed solely by Matt Johnson at Studio Cinéola. The musical style blends minimal electronic funk, motorik beats, and eerie atmospherics. Gillian Glover contributed vocals to the tracks "Unrequited" and "Live and Let Live," which were also released as a limited 7-inch single. The complete soundtrack is available as a deluxe CD Hardcover Mediabook, which includes an 84-page booklet with film stills and a foreword by Jason Wood.
