Crabs & Feathers's debut album in collaboration with Protomaterial Records marks a bold new chapter in their musical journey. Formed in 2019 through the creative meeting of Claudio Niniano (guitars and vocals) and Jonathan Norani (alto and tenor saxophones) at the Civici Corsi di Jazz in Milan, Crabs & Feathers have always thrived on contrast: folk meets funk, energy meets introspection, structure meets improvisation.

The new record deepens that exploration, weaving their signature dialogue between guitar and sax with Joan Arnau Pàmies’s textured, experimental production. The result is a multifaceted sound that feels refined—a seamless blend of lyrical storytelling and sonic adventure.
