Peruvian artist Alejandra Cárdenas, known as Ale Hop, presents her most personal work to date, "A Body Like a Home." Marking the first album released under her birth name, the project serves as a sonic memoir exploring themes of colonialism, racism, and domestic violence. Musically, the record combines spoken word poetry, electric guitars, violin, and field recordings, creating an atmosphere that oscillates between brutality and tenderness.
