Mineral - The Power Of Failing (2025)

Mineral was founded in Austin in 1994 and quickly established authority in the independent scene through extensive touring prior to any studio work. Following the success of their debut single, the band signed with crank! and released The Power Of Failing in 1996. The album achieved popularity on college radio and secured the group's status as pioneers of the indie and emo genres.

Their growing success attracted major industry attention, leading to a deal with Interscope Records in 1997. However, in 1998, immediately after completing the recording of their second album, EndSerenading, the group disbanded due to creative differences. Despite their brief existence, Mineral significantly influenced the music scene. The former members continued their careers in new projects, such as The Gloria Record and Pop Unknown.
