"A Letter From the Desert" (2025) is a collaborative album by Greek percussionist Nikos Touliatos and multi-instrumentalist and saxophonist Gilad Atzmon.

The album is a dialogue between these two masters of improvisational music. It is based on the combination of Touliatos's complex, hypnotic rhythmic percussion patterns (utilizing both traditional Mediterranean drums and an expressive avant-garde delivery) with Atzmon's emotional, melismatic brass parts (saxophone and clarinet).

The title "A Letter from the Desert" reflects the meditative yet intense nature of the music. The compositions are built on the contrast between spaces of silence, ethnic melodies of the Middle East and Mediterranean, and impulsive jazz improvisations.
