Marju Kuut - Marju Kuut: Üksi, kuid vabana (2025) [Hi-Res]

Marju Marynel Kuudi 80. on the eve of his birth anniversary, we celebrate the release of his compilation album “Alone but free” with a concert tour. To make a dignified bow to one of the most talented singers in Estonian music history, we will expand the composition of Haldi & ans Flamingo and invite a special guest Vaiko Eplik with us.

The Funk Embassy label had the honor of initiating a compilation album project “alone but free”with Maryn. Alas, it had to be completed without him. Nevertheless, we took into account the instructions of a talented singer, artist and producer, and made a double vinyl as his-faced as we could. Maryn wanted to summarize her personal favorites of the “Marju Kuud” period for this collection. This means timeless songs that were created and recorded before his emigration to Sweden. So he made a selection among the tracks and arranged them in a row just as you can hear from the records.

One of the most thorough researchers of Marju Kuud in Estonia, Haldi Eksmae, also wrote a comprehensive accompanying text for the album. It is all the more appropriate that he and Mattias Tirmas arranged the songs for the ensemble and bring them to the audience in a live performance.
