Four years after his previous record work, singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Francesco Arpino returns with “Back to Brit”, his new album of unreleased releases on December 12, 2025 for the Debutante label. For the first time entirely sung in English, Back to Brit is a musical and personal journey, made up of ten songs with international sounds, ranging from friendship, love and memory, and telling with disarming sincerity the artist's experience. In recent years Arpino has collaborated with numerous Italian and international artists, signed soundtracks for cinema and advertising, and put his signature as a producer on major projects in the music scene. This new work stems from an intense creative and emotional activity, developed over time together with Phil Spalding, a great friend and music companion, who recently passed away. With him Francesco wrote, played and produced a large part of the album, in which names such as Phil Palmer and Sean Ono Lennon participated, with whom he composed the song “Da Da After Da Da Some songs are also the result of sessions shared with MCFL."On this album I feel like Mart Mc mcfl bordo Inside these songs is my whole life and essence, a real journey through time in which I found many people and lost others, like my father and dear friends like Phil Spalding and Pierre Ruiz. My songs are almost always born in English: I tell about love, frailties, the struggle with the acceptance of the past, the awareness, anxieties and joys of a life that would be too long to describe. I feel lucky and excited, because finally these creatures of mine are no longer only mine, but also yours.”The sound of the album is strongly influenced by the Brit tradition, with a particular care for the guitar arrangements-Rickenbacker and Gibson in the first place-and the constant use of choirs with the cluster technique, very dear to the 50s and 60s. The album is also a tribute to the deep bond with Phil Spalding:“Phil had created a unique friendship: one glance was enough to understand us – says Arpino. He came to Italy to me more than 90 times in a few years. In the morning I made him 4 coffees one after the other and we joked about everything. He adored Italian girls and laughed whenever he saw kilometer-long rows of cars parked in the second row. A real rock and roll man!"With Back to Brit, Francesco Arpino signs his record comeback with an intimate and powerful album, which mixes nostalgia and freshness, memories and new visions, keeping alive the spirit of British rock and the strength of human connection.
