Various Artists - Elaste Essentials, Vol. 1 (2025)

Elaste is a multi-format project encompassing the history of a cult 80s magazine, a massive new book, and a music label. Founders Thomas Elsner and Michael Reinboth, who published the magazine from 1980 to 1986, revived the brand with the release of a 560-page book in November 2025 and the launch of Elaste Records. The label focuses on the aesthetics of New Wave, EBM, Post-Punk, and Electro, combining archival recordings with works by contemporary musicians. The new compilation features tracks by artists such as Gorilla Aktiv, Fred Und Luna, Indoor Life, Burnt Friedmann, and Curses, demonstrating the generational continuity and the continued relevance of that era's sound.
