The Danish band Total Hip Replacement is renowned for masterfully fusing reggae, soul, jazz, and African rhythms. The album In Dub serves as an experimental reimagining of the group's work, where selected compositions were entrusted to established producers such as Aldubb, MF Dub, The Dubvisionist, and Dubmatix for rework. Curated by Karsten Frehe, the resulting collection highlights the band's compositional versatility, maintaining the original musicality within a dub format. Originating from Aarhus, the collective has evolved from their 2018 debut to incorporating Ghanaian Highlife elements following a journey to Africa, continuing to advance their unique sound through European tours.
