Ben Marc - Who Cares Wins (2025) [Hi-Res]

Ben Marc (real name Neil Charles) is a London-based multi-instrumentalist whose work fuses a jazz background with influences of hip-hop, reggae, and soul absorbed during his youth. His second album, Who Cares Wins, was created during the pandemic alongside the musician's volunteer work for the National Health Service. Unlike his debut release Glass Effect, the new record is characterized by more mature production and complete creative freedom found within his own studio space.

The album features collaborations with artists such as Kay Young, Khazali, and Speech from Arrested Development. The release's musical palette combines modern grooves, funk, and psychedelia, with an unexpected source of inspiration being the scores from the 1970s TV series Columbo (specifically the works of Quincy Jones and Henry Mancini). The core mission of the Ben Marc project is to dissolve genre boundaries and bridge diverse cultural elements to create music that connects people.
