Daniel Hunt's debut solo album, "Inside Passage," is an experimental "sound map" based on his nautical journey from Seattle to Juneau. The work combines field recordings from the Pacific Northwest with the sounds of various percussion instruments, including homemade ones. Each composition reflects specific episodes of the voyage: from storms and wildlife encounters to meditative moments of navigation. Beyond its geographical context, the album title symbolizes the author's internal transformation whilst awaiting his first child.
