Spirits Burning, Michael Moorcock - An Alien Heat (2018)

"An Alien Heat" is a grand musical adaptation of the first book in Michael Moorcock’s "Dancers at the End of Time" trilogy. The project is led by Don Falcone (Spirits Burning) in collaboration with Michael Moorcock himself, who contributes vocals and harmonica. The album features a stellar lineup of guest musicians, including members of Blue Öyster Cult (Albert Bouchard, Joe Bouchard, Richie Castellano), Hawkwind (Harvey Bainbridge, Adrian Shaw), as well as artists from The Damned and Public Image Ltd. Musically, the work is a blend of space rock, progressive rock, and psychedelia, where Moorcock’s narration is woven into rich instrumental arrangements.
