Bishi - Reflektions (2022)

"Reflektions" is an interdisciplinary project created by artist Bishi (Bishi Bhattacharya) in collaboration with composer Alexandra Hamilton-Ayres. The work was inspired by the architecture and historical heritage of Coventry Cathedral. The musical landscape blends the classical Indian sounds of the sitar with modern electronic textures, Anna Phoebe's live violin, and Hamilton-Ayres' piano parts. The recording features the legendary punk performer Hazel O’Connor. The album also includes a series of reworkings created with contributions from Richard Norris and Kate Simko. The visual concept of the release was developed by Output Arts using 3D capture technologies.
