Another of the many fine recordings done by la Sonora Ponceña in the late '70s. Papo Lucca's technical virtuosity and the band's solid accompaniment make the band's choice of material always interesting. A lot of nice warhorses are included here; "Hasta Que Se Rompa el Cuero" is a mostly energetic, gleefully rhythmic romp, and "Ahora Yo Me Río" and the title tune (written by Jossie León) are exceptional. Like many of the long-running orchestra's recordings, quality and impeccable musicality take first chair.~José A. Estévez, Jr.
