Eskorbuto - Eskizofrenia (1984)

The reissue of the debut album "Eskizofrenia" (1985) by the Spanish punk band Eskorbuto marks the return of one of the most influential works within the scenes of Spain and Latin America. The record is distinguished by a radical style, a unique self-taught technique, and raw, direct lyrics. The band's ideology is permeated with nihilism: the world is compared to a "big toilet," and the systemic structure of society is subjected to harsh criticism for its hypocrisy. The group's history is filled with paradoxes and provocations—ranging from the pragmatic use of electronic drums for recording convenience to street conflicts with fascist groups. Live performances were characterized by complete chaos and dangerous antics, including the throwing of iron bars and knives, one of which once accidentally struck an image of the Virgin Mary.
