On January 16, 2026, Ilhan Ersahin's Istanbul Sessions will release their sixth studio album, "Mahalle," via Nublu Records. The record functions as a conceptual sonic exploration of Istanbul's diverse neighborhoods, merging traditional Eastern motifs with contemporary Western influences. Featuring the long-standing quartet of Ersahin, Alp Ersonmez, Turgut Alp Bekoglu, and Izzet Kizil, the album is characterized by a genre-defying blend of jazz and rock elements, delivering a cinematic portrayal of the city's atmosphere. The full gatefold vinyl release is scheduled for March 2026, preceded by a series of digital and physical singles named after iconic historic districts such as Galata, Karaköy, and Yeditepe.
