Angel Canales (Puerto Rican Salsa singer, born 29 June 1950 in Santurce, Puerto Rico) Has recorded under the Tico and Fania Records Label, but grew tired of the battles and contractual complications between himself and the labels, and as a result of their disputes, started his own label: SELANAC, as a professional Jeweler, he could afford it. He was the former singer of Markolino Diamond's original "Conjunto Sabor." Markolino Diamond died from a fatal drug overdose. After which Angel took over leadership of the band. Unfortunately due to the onset personal health complications, Angel has retired from the business and relocated to Miami, Florida with his wife.
