Alan Morse is a multi-faceted artist with a long career of giving people what they didn’t know they wanted. As Lead Guitarist and co-founder of Spock’s Beard, Alan’s idiosyncratic approach to music, art and life has surprised and delighted fans worldwide. A patented inventor, music producer, songwriter, singer, entrepreneur, electronic designer and a singular visual artist, he likes to play in a lot of sandboxes. A lifetime musician, Alan can play almost any stringed instrument. He has recorded or performed on sitar, bouzouki, mandolin, pedal steel and slide guitar, electric sitar, cello, bass and even the musical saw and theremin. “I like toys!” he says. Between touring and recording with Spock’s Beard and as a solo artist, Alan has recently been on a deep dive into photography and digital art and even clothing design! His latest invention, The Psychlotron, an interactive intuitive animation toy has wowed attendees at Bequinox, Burning Man and other art festivals.
