Charlemagne Palestine - The Organ is the World’s Greatest Synthesizer (2025 version) (2026) [Hi-Res]

In March 2024, at Amsterdam’s oldest church, the Oude Kerk, Charlemagne Palestine recorded a performance on the historic Baroque Vater-Müller organ. The release commemorates the anniversaries of the Silence concert series and the Sonic Acts festival. Palestine blends overtone singing with sustained organ clusters, transforming the Gothic architecture into a singular vibrating organism. Released by the Staalplaat label, the limited edition consists of 222 vinyl copies featuring handmade covers. Conceptually, the work frames the organ as the world's greatest synthesizer, utilizing the building's physical structure as a natural acoustic filter.
