The album Langeleik is the culmination of a long-term collaboration between Geir Sundstøl and Joe Harvey-Whyte, merging Norwegian landscapes with London’s urban essence. Recorded in Oslo through spontaneous improvisation, the record combines experimental pedal-steel guitar, vintage synthesizers, and field recordings. Inspired by the imagery of rivers and oceans, the project transcends the traditional boundaries of ambient and Americana, offering a cinematic and profound sonic experience. Featuring guest contributors and the poetry of Ivar Orvedal, the album emphasizes a contemplative atmosphere and a connection to nature, encouraging deep listening and reverie.
