The New Mastersounds - Re::Mixed (2007)

An unusual release in the British band's discography. It is an album of 12 remixes, on which musicians and producers from the contemporary nu-funk, nu-jazz, broken beat, soul and electronic beat scene reinterpret the band's characteristic deep funk compositions.
The main goal is to show how well The New Mastersounds' music works in the hands of other producers. While the original band built its music on the live interplay of Hammond organ, guitar, bass and drums, on the Re::Mixed recordings these compositions are given new rhythmic structures, electronic textures and a much more pronounced club sound.
