Poison Ivy was a post-punk/new wave band from Utrecht, The Netherlands. Formed in 1979, they toured the Dutch club circuit between 1980 and 1982, sharing stages with bands as Fischer-Z and The Jam. In 1981, the band signed up to Mercury Records (nowadays Universal Music Group) and released the album Decadence, featuring the singles Marilyn and Bobby. The album was recorded at Wisseloord Studios and produced by Eric Boom. The lineup consisted of Jos van de Pavert (vocals), Pieter Vonk (keyboards), Theo Hendriks (bass), Cees van Rijn (drums), and Richard Daalmeijer (guitar). After their breakup in 1982 Van de Pavert recorded a cover of Dave Davies’ Death of a Clown with a different lineup.
