Electric Cowbell Records has introduced Richmond Relics, an archival imprint debuting with the vinyl reissue of the 1986 album Fa3574 by the Richmond-based supergroup Famous Actors From Out of Town. The ensemble, comprised of veteran musicians from the local underground scene, integrated art rock, jazz, and experimental improvisation. A defining characteristic of their sound is the intricate synchronization of two drummers, producing a complex and visceral instrumental foundation. The historical significance of this release is further underscored by the members' subsequent involvement in influential projects such as Sparklehorse and Cracker.
