Various Artists - Stafell Sbâr Sain: Tŷ Gwerin (2025) [Hi-Res]

The record label Sain, in collaboration with the Tŷ Gwerin platform, has released the compilation Stafell Sbâr Sain: Tŷ Gwerin, featuring 12 prominent figures from the contemporary Welsh folk scene. The album highlights the regional stylistic diversity, ranging from ancient forms of harp-accompanied poetry (cerdd dant) and traditional ballads to experimental folk, bluegrass, and original songwriting. The collection includes contributions from seasoned veterans, such as Bob Delyn a'r Ebillion, alongside emerging acts and international performers. Released in conjunction with the National Eisteddfod, the project emphasizes the vitality and relevance of Welsh cultural heritage through modern arrangements and diverse musical perspectives.
