“Looking for affection” is the diary of the last years of my life, of a period of change and growth written while going through unbalanced relationships and mistakes that seemed to repeat themselves over and over again. It was born from a stubborn search for affection: in the wrong people, at the wrong time, questioning myself too much and questioning others too little. I wanted to talk about mistakes, about the difficulties in communication, and about the need to feel chosen and loved.
These songs collect my failures in love and in life, they speak to fill my silence and to tell what I have learned: that it’s not worth running, competing, or losing yourself to be loved, that everything has its own time and there is no need to rush, that even falls, if seen from another perspective, can be useful. Because, after all, even looking for affection in the wrong direction can teach you where not to go back.
