This is the debut album of the Milan-based space funk rockers GHOSTWOUND, a four-piece whose members’ experience within the Italian underground psychedelic rock scene is longstanding. Their truly unique style features dreamlike vocals, broken funk grooves, kosmische modular synths, and, above all, complex layers of fuzz and reverberate guitars with hallucinatory acid blues solos. In these ten songs, the richness and variety of the atmospheres that follow one another are made homogeneous by a colourful and genuine sound. For those who love the evolution of the Hard Psych sounds from the late 60s, the Kraut Rock weirdness of the mid-70s, the super funk breakbeats of James Brown, and also the vocal harmonies of the 90s UK Shoegaze, you’ll be able to find something surprisingly flavourful in this record!
