FORÇA MAIOR - Morte Lilás (2026)

The album Morte Lilás by the Força Maior project is a collaborative effort between saxophonist Pedro Alves Sousa and electronic musician Pedro Tavares. Recorded in June 2023 at a historic 17th-century Portuguese farm, the location's ambiance significantly influenced the meditative character of the music. The primary sound source is the saxophone, transformed through effect pedals, samplers, and complex electronic processing. The work is a meditative ambient tapestry that combines field recordings, subtle tonal shifts, and rhythmic structures. The compositions range from long, unhurried textures to more dynamic segments utilizing cascading delays, while maintaining an overarching atmosphere of calm precision and emotional depth.
