“Secret Dreams And Forbidden Fire” it’s a true product of ’80s: read ‘bombast’ to the extreme.The LP spawn the incredibly number of 7 singles out of 9 tracks contained into the album (most of them successful world-wide) with the smash ‘Holding Out for a Hero’ originally being released two years ahead in the Footloose soundtrack.

Steinman was the real brain behind the disc, but features external songwiting collaborations from the likes of Desmond Child and terrific Canadian team Bryan Adams / Jim Vallance with ‘No Way to Treat a Lady’.

If you want an album that truly depicts a portrait of ’80s pomposity, search no more; Bonnie Tyler’s “Secret Dreams And Forbidden Fire” it’s the perfect example.
