Tygra - MAGIC SUMMER (2026)

ygra is a new name to us, but here drops a debut album that means we will very much be keeping an ear on him/her or them in future. Magic Summer is a sun-baked escape, a heat-haze doused blend of hip hop, downtempo, ambient and breezy breaks that soar through cloudless skies. Trappy vocal fragments and aloof r&b bars marbled the arrangements, which work as both a backdrop to a lazy afternoon or an early evening dance. There are no big hooks or attention-grabbing drops, just plenty of sketchy vignettes that shine with a lo-fi hue and have deft sampling and instrumentals carefully stitched into the mix.
