Nomieye - Tapestry of an Echo (2026) [Hi-Res]

Nomieye is a modular synthesizer project by London-based trombonist Rosie Turton, whose work blurs boundaries between jazz and experimental improvisation. The debut EP «Tapestry of an Echo» explores humanity's dialogue with nature, examining how geographical places—particularly the geological formations of Anza Borrego—hold memories of time and history. The music weaves together synthesizer melodies, field recordings, bell sounds, and trombone into ambient soundscapes that guide listeners through different states of consciousness.
Rosie Turton is an established figure in contemporary London's jazz scene, recognized by The Guardian and having collaborated with artists such as Shabaka, Sarathy Korwar, and Thom Yorke. Her approach merges live improvisation with electronic composition, enabling her to create music unfettered by genre constraints. Beyond Nomieye, Rosie regularly participates in the improvisation series «Sonic Fabrics», inviting fellow musicians into creative dialogue. Her work is supported by prominent radio broadcasters including Iggy Pop and Gilles Peterson, with her music regularly performed at major British venues and festivals.
