After thirty years, the long-awaited vinyl reissue of Bim Sherman’s "Ghetto Dub" (1988) has been released, featuring a fresh remaster. The album, crafted alongside legendary engineers King Tubby, Prince Jammy, and Adrian Sherwood, is built upon the rhythm sections of The Roots Radics and Sly & Robbie. Bim Sherman, a pivotal figure in the UK dub scene and the On-U Sound collective, served as both vocalist and producer for this work. This reissue by Week-End Records faithfully preserves the authentic warmth of the original, blending classic stepper rhythms with experimental echo and atmospheric soundscapes. The release restores access to a rare artifact of Jamaican-British musical culture that had previously become a high-priced collector's item.
