Drawing inspiration from legendary female figures such as Mercedes Sosa and Miriam Makeba, as well as the cinema of Marguerite Duras, Hartmann blends intimate emotional storytelling with broader reflections on the world. The album features extensive collaborations with artists including Jesse Harris, Laurent Bardainne, and Naïssam Jalal, integrating jazz, world music influences, and sophisticated string arrangements to create a cohesive artistic evolution.
