Olma - Time (2026) [Hi-Res]

The instrumental project Olma, led by Chris Bartels, has released the album Time, which explores the non-linear nature of time through the themes of survival and stillness. The technical foundation of the record relies on experiments with a 1968 analog tape machine and speed manipulations, creating a "time warp" effect and an aged sonic aesthetic. The creative catalyst for the author was the narrative of Shackleton's Antarctic expedition, read during a harsh Minnesota winter. The result is an atmospheric ambient-folk work that serves as an emotional backdrop for reflection, isolation, and endurance, resembling frozen sonic memories.
