With Ombres et visions, Moroccan-born pianist Nour Ayadi embarks on a journey to the outer limits of tonality. The Faust theme is the common thread running through the program with works by Bach, Busoni, Schubert and Liszt. With diminishing tonality, changing forms, inner voices and mythical struggles, the album enters zones of transition that have repeatedly shaken the world of music.
