What is the likelihood of happening upon an oasis in the heart of Europe? In this debut album, the Trio BECEL seeks to evoke just such an extraordinary curiosity. With their unfamiliar constellation of instruments, the trio reveals hidden treasures of Belgium’s musical landscape from the 20th & 21st centuries. You will encounter harmonies from the Old Continent intermingled with the rhythms of America, Hungarian bells responding to Japanese poetry or even a soul on a tightrope – dancing.
