The LEFT sublabel is reissuing the rare 2016 album Health & Safety by Johan Suurballe Wieth (Iceage). The record is a minimalist, guitar-driven meditation that departs from the artist's post-hardcore roots toward ambient, drone, and "doomed Americana" reminiscent of Earth and Bohren & der Club of Gore. The compositions, named after prescription antidepressants and tranquilizers, reflect contemporary European unease and a sardonic perspective on American cultural influence. The music evolves from nostalgic, weightless textures to dense, somber tones and piano distortions, establishing a cinematic, Lynchian atmosphere.
